Istanbul Gelisim University has added another major success to the national achievements of its young athletes. The U23 Freestyle Wrestling Türkiye Championship, held at the Trabzon Ortahisar Beşirli Sports Hall with the participation of 103 clubs and 460 athletes from across Türkiye, featured intense competition in the final matches. Competing in the 86 kg category, Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Sports Sciences student Ahmet Yağan delivered an outstanding performance, surpassing his opponents and becoming the Türkiye Champion. Within the scope of the 2025 call for 2209-A/B University Students Research Projects Support Program by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), a total of 263 project applications were submitted by students of Istanbul Gelisim University.
